Technical Drawing Creative:

Illuminated Integration is seeking a qualified individual to serve as a Technical Drawing Creative.  This position will require the individual to work with designers, engineers, architects and other professionals to develop technical drawings that meet the needs of each project.  Typical projects will include schools, houses of worship, broadcast studios, museums, and themed entertainment facilities, etc.  The Technical Drawing Creative will work closely with the design team to produce quality technical documentation and provide detailed installation documentation for the installation team.  The Technical Drawing Creative will build out a thorough technical drawing and documentation set for each project.  This position reports to the Associate Design Creative.

  • Collaborate with systems designers to establish technical documentation required on a project by project basis.
  • Creating architectural drawings based on field measurements.
  • Create project typical drawings:  Floorplan, RCP, Section, Equipment Rack, One-line riser.
  • Create project Operations & Maintenance manual.
  • Reference project equipment lists and collate them into Rack and Riser drawings.
  • Identify system inconsistencies and communicate back to the design team.
  • Communicate project milestones to the Associate Design Creative.
  • After hours and weekend work as required.
  • Occasional travel for field measurement purposes.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Vectorworks & Revit CAD skills
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A positive attitude and has the ability to work productively in a team environment.  
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • A familiarity with MAC computers, CAD, Vectorworks, Revit, and GSuite products.
  • Ability to work in a 3D drafting environment.
  • Detail-oriented.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude.
  • The ability to multitask, set agendas and handle several projects simultaneously.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Working hours are generally 8am-5pm, 40 hours per week, but are governed on a project by project basis.
    • After hours and weekend work as required.
  • Working from home may be allowed for certain days of the week.  It is a starting expectation that this position will be based in our main office.  
  • This position will require travel on a project by project basis as this position is a combination of roles within the Design and Sales focus.  Travel expenses & meals will be covered by ii for all projects unless specifically mentioned prior to the start of said project. When at the office, no meals will be provided by Illuminated Integration unless provided by Managing Creative.
    • This requires a valid driver’s license to be maintained by the employee.

Installation Technician:

Illuminated Integration is seeking qualified Installation Technicians. We are looking for motivated individuals to join our experienced installation team. We are a quickly growing Lighting, Video, Audio, Rigging, Acoustics, and Curtains design and integration firm based out of Harrisburg, PA. Our work is focused in the northeast and mid-Atlantic region, but we do work nationally.

Daily tasks include: traveling to project sites, installation of low-voltage wiring in buildings, rigging equipment, mounting equipment racks, terminating low voltage connections, and troubleshooting and testing equipment. Typical projects will include schools, houses of worship, broadcast studios, museums, and themed entertainment facilities.

Some experience is preferred and experience will be taken into account before an offer is made.

  • This position will require travel on a project by project basis.  Travel requirements are typically Monday-Friday only. Travel expenses & meals will be covered by ii for all projects unless specifically mentioned prior to the start of said project. When at the shop, no meals will be provided by Illuminated Integration unless provided by Managing Creative.
  • This requires a valid driver’s license to be maintained by the employee.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A positive attitude and has the ability to work productively in a team environment.
  • Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
  • Creative problem-solving skills with mechanical aptitude.
  • The ability to lift and carry equipment up to 50 lbs. or greater.
  • The ability to work at heights using ladders, manlifts, scaffolding.
  • The ability to obtain clearances to work in public schools.
  • Working hours are generally 7am-4pm, 40 hours per week, but are governed on a project by project basis.
  • 5 days paid vacation for the first year (must request vacation days at least 2 weeks in advance.)  At two years of employment, the employee will earn 20 days paid vacation annually.  At 5 years of employment, the employee will earn 25 days paid vacation annually.  Long term vacations of more than 2 days in consecutive order must be requested at a minimum of 4 weeks in advance to be considered.  
  • This position covers 50% of health insurance for the employee if the employee opts into the provided insurance plans.  The position allows use of the group health insurance plan for family members.  Rates will be provided.

This position includes a 401K retirement account with contributions after 6 months of employment.
